In the coming weeks the students will continue to explore Cyber Safety. They will be involved in learning activities and interactive quizzes which encourages them to consider their choices when learning, playing and transacting online- empowering them with the life skills required to become smart and safe digital citizens. The program we are following is from the Alannah and Madeline Foundation. We encourage all parents to continue discussing Cyber Safety with your children.
Thank you to all the families who have kindly donated toys, baskets and plants for the Strawberry Fair. Just a reminder that Thursday 26th February is another Free Dress Day. The students have been asked to donate lollies for the Lolly Stall. We really appreciate your support.
The Year 5/6 students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the three day camp at Candlebark farm in Healesville. The children were involved in a range of outdoor activities which helped develop confidence and improve friendships. Activities included the Long Ropes course, Super Swooper, Flying Fox, Canoeing, Raft Building, Swimming and a Games Room. The highlight for the staff was the cooperation, encouragement, respect and teamwork shown by all students. If this is a reflection of this years Senior Level, we are in for a great year!
As we are looking at the effect of Social Media on our health and well being, we thought families might find this link useful to remind us of the importance of relating to others without the use of technology.
Welcome to the Senior Level!
The staff and students are looking forward to a great year ahead. There are always lots of things happening in 5/6. This week we begin Interschool Sport and next week we are off to Camp. It is a great way to the start the year!
