Maths Dictionary

We are covering a lot of different mathematical concepts this Semester.

It is fantastic to see students proactive in their learning and a great way to do that in Mathematics is to use a Mathematics Dictionary. It is especially good at times when you are at home and you are unsure of something.

Your teachers encourage you to use this link to search up ANY maths concept to consolidate your understanding. Great for looking up rules too!

Reconciliation Week

“Let’s Walk The Talk!”

This week people of Australia acknowledge Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander people who deserve an apology. As a class we sensitively and respectfully discuss the history that has deemed this week necessary.

It is important for everyone to be aware of racism and as an individual do their bit to say “no way” to racism against any culture.

TeAm WoRk!!

For Inquiry this term we are working across the 5/6 level.

Students from all three classes are working together in small groups to develop and run a small business.

The students have made goals as a group to ensure they will work together cooperatively and successfully. They wrote a contract and sat in an interview to propose their agreements.

Keep an eye out for their advertisements!

ANZAC Day Learning

Our work on ANZAC Day and the history behind this day gave us a greater appreciation of how lucky we are to live in a safe and happy place 🙂

We made poppies, read about the history and ANZAC stories, we listened to songs and wrote poetry.

Mother’s Day

The Friday before Mother’s Day the children and fathers of St. Anne’s celebrated by hosting a Mother’s Day Breakfast. Around the hall each grade displayed some artwork created as presents for their mums. Here is some of the fantastic grade 5/6 artwork that was made. All the artwork looked so effective. Well done.
